Love Poetry with Kim Addonizio (Via Zoom)
What the world needs now is more love. (Doesn’t it always?) In this generative and craft workshop, we’ll explore all kind of love: familial, romantic, passionate, platonic—and discuss how other poets have tendered their thoughts and sentiments, with an eye to what we can learn from them to inspire our own work.Be ready to write, and maybe to create a poem for a special someone in time for Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re drowning in love or searching for it, come and share your memories and observations about this essential human emotion.
Kim Addonizio is the author of over a dozen books of prose and poetry, most recently Now We’re Getting Somewhere(Poems, W.W. Norton) and an essay collection, Bukowski in a Sundress: Confessions from a Writing Life (Penguin). Her forthcoming collection from Norton, Exit Opera, is due in September 2024. She lives and teaches Zoom workshops in Oakland, CA. https://www.kimaddonizio.com
