Like The Summer Sun: The Bard Meets the Beatles

|

This August, LawnChair Theatre will take to the parks, celebrating 2 favorite British imports, Shakespeare and the Beatles. Like The Summer Sun: The Bard Meets the Beatles features sonnets and soliloquies of the English language’s greatest poet along with the timeless and tuneful creations of The Fab Four. What do Shakespeare and the Beatles have to say to one another? And what common gifts can they share with us? Come hear our ensemble of stellar singers and Shakespearean actors. Our musical director is The Who’s conductor, Keith Levenson, and our musicians customarily play together as the nightclub back-up band for Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown. Presented in collaboration with The Rye Arts Center. Performances take place Aug. 6-9 and Aug. 14-15.  To find out where you can catch us, please go to our website: lawnchairtheatre.org.
