Lecture: Approaching Art Galleries and Business Strategies for Artists

Virginia Walsh, director and curator of the Ann Street Gallery in Newburgh, NY will lead a 2-hour seminar covering the multifaceted approach to being a successful gallery artist. Participants will learn about portfolio preparation and presentation; image packaging; resumes; artist statements, website development and business practices. Alternative marketing methods and opportunities will also be explored. Q&A will be encouraged as well as discussion among attendees. Time permitting, Ms. Walsh will review individual portfolios and provide feedback.
