Justice Talks: Panel Discussion of “True Justice”

|

Sing Sing Prison Museum’s “Justice Talks” is a webinar discussion series about contemporary topics in criminal justice. Featuring notable experts and partnerships with groundbreaking organizations, each session invites you to create action steps towards envisioning a more equitable future.

TRUE JUSTICE: BRYAN STEVENSON’S FIGHT FOR EQUALITY examines the personal journey of Bryan Stevenson, a public defender in Alabama and director of the Equal Justice Initiative, who is working to bring justice to the incarcerated, wrongfully convicted, and disadvantaged. This film weaves together Stevenson’s own story, those of his clients, and history of injustice and complicity by our justice system to reveal how a narrative of racial inequality emerged in this country. Bryan challenges us to seek the truth, confront it, and work towards reconciliation.

This webinar event will be a moderated panel discussion with criminal justice experts and producers of the film. It will be streamed live on the Sing Sing Prison Museum’s Facebook.
