Both adventurous and mainstream, regularly topping critics’ and readers’ polls, Joshua Redman has been on the scene for over thirty years. He has released 20 exceptional recordings and has earned 10 Grammy nominations in his career.
Always seeking new directions, Redman has collaborated with countless jazz giants plus artists like Stevie Wonder, Yo-Yo Ma and The Rolling Stones. Jazzwise praises his “soul-bearing tenor” that sounds “like he’s actually singing through his horn”.
His new recording, Words Fall Short has earned accolades from various reviewers including The Guardian, which gave the 2025 album four stars noting that Redman is presenting “a new ensemble and all-original repertoire, resulting in an ideal balance of ingenuity and rapport”.
