Jean Valentine and Fred Marchant


Fred Marchant’s new collection of poetry, Said Not Said, is forthcoming from Graywolf Press in May 2017. The Looking House (Graywolf Press, 2009), was named by Barnes and Noble Review as one of the five best books of poetry in 2009. He was the 2009 co-winner (with Afaa Michael Weaver) of the May Sarton Award, given to poets whose “work is an inspiration to other poets.” Jean Valentine was the New York State Poet Laureate from 2008–2010. Her collection, Door in the Mountain: New and Collected Poems, 1965–2003, was awarded the 2004 National Book Award. Break the Glass (Copper Canyon, 2010) was a finalist for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize.
