Jazz Pianist Jon Weiss with Clarinet Legend Sol Yaged
On Saturday, January 2nd jazz pianist Jon Weiss and clarinet legend Sol Yaged will play in the main dining room from 7:30 to 11 pm. A regular at Cleopatra’s Needle in New York City, where he runs the Monday night jam session, Jon’s repertoire spans genres from jazz, blues and rock to Latin music (often with his own band, Orquestra Silva). Jon has played with a dizzying array of artists, from the eccentric Tiny Tim to jazz notables like Houston Person, George Coleman, Eddie Henderson and Tisziji Munoz, to vocalists including Anita O’Day. Jon’s third CD will be released this spring. No cover charge, but tables in the main dining room are reserved for those ordering a meal and there is a two-drink minimum at the bar.
