Jazz in the Sanctuary presents flutist Sherry Winston and her band

South Salem Presbyterian Church hosts “Jazz n the Sanctuary,” a special event featuring acclaimed jazz flutist Sherry Winston and her Band.

Winston has performed at prestigious venues, including the White House for President Bill Clinton, as well as President George H.W. Bush, the Kennedy Center, and Lincoln Center. She has performed with such iconic artists as Stevie Wonder and opened for renowned performers including John Legend and Grover Washington Jr.

The church is already known for hosting “The Sanctuary Series,” which brings extraordinary classical music performances to the heart of the quiet hamlet of South Salem, often attracting world-class performers, When Ms. Winston, a long-time friend of the Church, offered to perform, the fit was an exciting one. She will bring her unique sound to the Sanctuary for an evening of transcendental jazz.
