Hudson Valley Music Club Presents the Decoda Oboe and Strings Ensemble
The Hudson Valley Music Club is proud to commence its 90th season of presenting fine classical music performances by professional and talented amateur soloists and chamber ensembles.
On Monday, October 27, at 1:00 PM, the Decoda Oboe and Strings ensemble will perform works by Britten, Schubert, and Mozart. The Decoda musicians featured will be James Austin Smith, oboe, Owen Dalby, violin, Meena Bhasin, viola, and Saeunn Thorsteinsdottir, cello.
The Decoda ensemble, formed in 2011, is a collaboration of musicians from The Juilliard School and Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute. They are now an Affiliate Ensemble of Carnegie Hall. They have performed around the world including concerts in Abu Dhabi, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Germany, Hong Kong,
the United Kingdom, Denmark and Switzerland.
