Holiday Books & Tea: Charles Dickens and A Christmas Carol
The prolific works of Charles Dickens have produced many notable quotes, maybe none more so than “God bless us, every one!” This brief exclamation, uttered through the small voice of Tiny Tim, is a most apt summation of one man’s journey from self-absorption to benevolence toward his fellow man.
Please join us as librarian Elaine Provenzano explores the history of this classic holiday tale about Scrooge, Marley, the Three Ghosts, and Cratchit family; what it meant to Charles Dickens, and how it affected Victorian readers.
All are welcome to join us for tea and biscuits after the presentation.
