Artist’s Statement:
Contained within these “Moments in Time”, I’ve included some of my favorite images, photographed close to the heart, representing how I view my world. They’re moments that I’m able to remember vividly, bringing a variety of emotions to the surface. They’re photos inspired by nature and my day to day encounters. I’ve photographed the familiar, being content to allow the image to represent just that. At other times, it became exciting to experience what is so well-known, captured and then edited with new insight.
As memories, these images will last a lifetime. My feeling is that, as I create, whether through my pencil drawings or photographs, I become a part of that subject and completed work, sharing its energy through the creative process, and then leaving a trace of myself behind. My intent, is that the viewer is able to see the subject, as interpreted, through my eyes.
It is my hope that my photos inspire new thoughts or insights, fond memories, or poetic words. Perhaps they’ll evoke the beginnings of a story soon to be written, a work of art waiting to be created, or a warm smile as you walk away.
Thank you for sharing these moments from my life and then for inspiring others along your way…
