Gallery Opening: Running Wild

The Mamaroneck Artists Guild presents an exhibition of works by three diverse artists, “Running Wild.”  The show will run from June 20– July 8, 2017.  There will be a reception Saturday, July 1 from 3-5 pm.

Kate Richardson’s recent works are whimsical observations of fantastical creatures within real world, (or nearly real world,) environments. These studies combine a reverence for light, color, and atmosphere, with a curiosity for wonder and delight.

Brenna Rosenfeld’s mixed media art work is filled with bright colors and fanciful images from nature.  Her recent intuitive paintings and collages explore mark making techniques, patterns and texture.  Her work is greatly influenced by folk art, the natural world and traveling abroad.

In a recent series of landscapes, Sherri Paul employs softly diffused hues to imbue the romantic oils with atmospheric charm. Trees stand as sentinels or sway while breeze-blown clouds float overhead. Color harmonies bolster the snapshot quality of the scenes with underlying formality. These seasonally-inspired landscapes and seascapes feature natural elements such as water, air and light.

Gallery Hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 12 noon – 5:00 p.m.

The Gallery is located at 126 Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont, New York. Admission is free.

This exhibition is made possible, in part, by ArtsWestchester with support from Westchester County Government.
