Friday Night Playdate: An evening of kids’ games for adults with Josh Lewis
Friday Night Playdate is a high energy, low stakes evening of kids’ games for adults. It’s about tapping into that child-like sense of joy and spontaneity too often lost to adulthood. Drawn from his years as a theater and improv teacher, camp, counselor, and team building leader, Josh Lewis’s workshops run the gamut from exhilarating games to get the blood flowing; to games of concentration, enhancing focus and problem-solving; to ridiculous games of reckless abandon, launching the group into hysterics. Above all else, this workshop is about fun!
This event will take place in person at HVWC. A maximum of 24 tickets will be sold. Games will take place from 8-9:30pm. Participants are welcome to mingle afterwards and to bring their own snacks and beverages. Please write to ask@writerscenter.org with any questions.
The group will be facilitated by Josh Lewis, who is the founder and artistic director of the Sleepy Hollow Arts Center (The SHAC). He has acted, directed, written, and composed for numerous New York theater companies, including: the Atlantic Theater Company, The 52nd Street Project, Naked Angels, and Manhattan Theater Club. He’s co-founder and former co-artistic director of the Atlantic Theater Company’s alumni Farm Team and founder and artistic director of the Young Playwrights program for Operation Exodus, a New York City based mentoring program for Latino youth.
