Flower and Antique Show

Lyndhurst’s Flower & Antiques Show has something for everyone this year!

Meet the Florists!

Filled with sustainable flower arrangements and full-room installations, this weekend offers an experience unique among flower shows for visitors to explore creations from 19 different florists. Returning for our 2020 show is Joshua Werber, Brooklyn-based floral crown creator. Joining him this year are young florists employing locally-sourced and mixed-media floral design like Stone Barns’ Shannon Algiere and Cape Lily Floral Design, Sylvia Lukach of Irvington; and fellow Brooklyn-based floral weaver, Whitney Crutchfield.

New Artist Exhibitions!

We are very lucky to have artists Kiki Smith and Valerie Hammond feature their work throughout the mansion. Internationally recognized Kiki Smith describes herself as “a thing-maker.” She uses a broad variety of materials to continuously expand and evolve a body of work that includes sculpture, printmaking, photography, drawing, and textiles. Smith has been recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the “TIME 100: The People Who Shape Our World’’.

Valerie Hammond maintains a fluid artistic practice, distinguished for her organic approach and deft interaction with different mediums. Her work is included in public and private collections such as The Fine Arts Museum Houston, The Library of Congress, the New York Public Library’s Print and Drawing Collection, and the Getty Museum.

New Speaker Carolyne Roehm!

This year we are pleased to announce that Carolyne Roehm will offer a talk and a trunk show, exhibiting her original floral prints in the mansion. A former President of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and the author of twelve books, Roehm’s mission is to teach others how to capture and create beauty in their lives, in both the everyday and out of the ordinary.

New Food from The Foodie Bus!

We welcome Jen Cook’s Foodie Bus to the Flower Show this year, who will be serving family-friendly fare from Lyndhurst’s historic Downton Abbey-esque kitchen rooms. Her farm-to-table meals are perfect for those looking to take advantage of the Lyndhurst landscape and have an impromptu picnic.

New Outdoor Walking Tour!

Debuting this spring is Lyndhurst’s lower landscape tours. Walk through the historic and restored paths below the mansion and explore the new forest walking paths, connecting the Westchester County River Walk with the Old Croton Aqueduct.

Antique Show: New Presenter!

Antiques on the Hudson returns this year with a boutique-style show presented by the producers of the Greenwich Winter Antique Show. The Antiques show presents enthusiasts and collectors with the opportunity to shop an array of garden antiques, period furnishings, fine art, estate jewelry, vintage and mid-century design. Their special event: “Made in the Hudson Valley”, a talk by author and dealer, Sanford Levy, will be held on Saturday, April 4th at 1pm.

High Tea

Returning this year is the elegant High Tea in the Guest Cottage hosted by Saint George Bistro and Seasons On The Hudson in Lyndhurst’s unique and charming estate cottage. $150 includes food, a glass of sparkling wine, tea, and gratuity, as well as entry to the Flower Show and Antiques Show.

Garden Shop

Find all your gardening needs and inspirations at the outdoor Garden Shop! Shoppers will enjoy an expanded garden shop curated by Ned Kelly and Seasons on Hudson.

Perfect for people of all ages, there will be several floral-themed workshops throughout the weekend. Grab a friend and learn how to make a bouquet, decipher the language of flowers, and more!
