FLEETING IMAGES, CAPTURED MOMENTS

Words, paintings, and music combine in this dynamic, wide-ranging concert to explore the dreams and passions of life — memorable and commonplace, real and imagined, eternal and everyday. Reflecting on nature, seasons, humble routines, art, amusements, and loves, the program features the World Premiere of Wait Til Tomorrow, a Copland House commission by Eve Beglarian on poems by Bill Knott, as well as songs by Aaron Copland, Reena Esmail, and Frederick Peters on poems by Emily Dickinson, Wendell Berry and Elizabeth Bishop, respectively, plus a  brilliant triptych by William Grant Still, inspired by Harlem Renaissance painters.
