Finish the Damn Book! A 6-week Poetry Workshop with Alexis Sears (Zoom)

This is a 6-week poetry workshop that meets on the following Thursdays from 6-8 pm: June 26, July 3, July 10, July 17, July 24, and July 31.

Almost there, but still stuck on the final stretch of your poetry collection? In this 6-week workshop, you’ll tackle the obstacles holding you back from completing your book: writer’s block, lack of direction, self-doubt, and more. Through in-depth discussions with classmates, you’ll gain fresh perspectives, refine your themes, uncover trends in your work, and generate ideas for revision. By the end, you’ll have a clear roadmap for completing a manuscript you love. You’ll finish the damn book!

Alexis Sears is the author of Out of Order, winner of the 2021 Donald Justice Poetry Prize and the

Poetry by the Sea Book Award: Best Book of 2022. Her work appears in Best American Poetry, Poet

Lore, Cortland Review, Cimarron Review, Rattle, and elsewhere. She earned her MFA in poetry from the

University of Wisconsin-Madison and her BA in Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University.
