Final Readings and Presentation at Sarah Lawrence College

Participants in “The Art of Losing”: Writing Against Disaster summer intensive read selections from their poetry and creative writing. The act of writing is an attempt to recognize our world, especially as it becomes increasingly unrecognizable. While writing is so often defined as a solitary act, we know that all art, like living, primarily thrives on connection and collaboration. Together, we tend to language as a means to communicate the complicated experience that is being alive in this fast changing age. The reading is hosted by poet and workshop instructor Cate Marvin (catemarvin.com).

“The Art of Losing”: Writing Against Disaster is a weeklong summer creative writing intensive run by Sarah Lawrence College and the Mayapple Center for the Arts and Humanities. See more at https://www.sarahlawrence.edu/ce/mayapple or http://mayapplecenter.org/
