Film Screening of WindShipped

Join us for a film screening of WindShipped, the latest documentary from Oceans 8 Films’ Hope on the Hudson series, about a unique sailing vessel, the schooner Apollonia. This 40-minute film documents the ambitious effort to ship goods up and down the Hudson River by sail, without fossil fuels!

Discussion will follow with filmmaker Jon Bowermaster and Apollonia skipper Sam Merrett about the rebirth of carbon-neutral sail freight delivery up and down the Hudson River by the fossil fuel–free ship, the only one of its kind in America.

Following the screening, sample some of the products carried by the Apollonia, including—for those 21 and over—beer made from malt transported as freight on the schooner to breweries along its route between Hudson, New York, and New York Harbor.
