Sigrid Nunez has published seven novels, including The Friend (Riverhead Books, 2018). She is also the author of Sempre Susan: A Memoir of Susan Sontag. The Friend won the 2018 National Book Award and was a finalist for the 2019 Simpson/Joyce Carol Oates Prize. One of her short stories has been selected for The Best American Short Stories 2019. Her work has been translated into ten languages and is in the process of being translated into thirteen more. Currently writer in residence at Boston University, she has also been on the faculty of the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. She lives in New York City.

Against the Wind (Red Hen Press, 2019) is Jim Tilley’s debut novel. He has published three full-length collections of poetry and a short memoir, The Elegant Solution. In 2008 he won Sycamore Review’s Wabash Prize for Poetry. Tilley earned a doctorate in physics from Harvard University and now resides in Bedford Corners, New York.
