Westchester Symphonic Winds Fall Concert: “Bridges & Byways”

We open our 30th season with masterworks from near and far. The Fall concert will feature acclaimed clarinet soloist, Steve Cohen, performing the rich and moving Brooklyn Bridge by Michael Daugherty. Our guest conductor is Rich Guillen, Director of Bands at Arlington High School, who will conduct Famishius Fantasticus by Michael Markowski, a symphonic fantasy based on “Looney Tunes” cartoon melodies. Our apprentice conductor, Ben Acrish, will conduct Metroplex:Three Postcards from Manhattan by Robert Sheldon.
Other selections include: El Camino Real by Alfred Reed; Our Reply, by Carl Holmquist; and Colonel Bogey March, by Kenneth J. Alford.
