Faith in Film: Green Light

Join the Rev. John Zahl (St. Matthew’s, Bedford), for a “Lenten Film Series: Faith in Film” on Sunday nights, Feb 18^th – March 17^th, featuring an edifying and thought-provoking selection of special movies, exploring themes of conversion, humility, forgiveness, faith in the midst of suffering, and grace.  Sundays at 6pm, with a brief introduction, followed by a short discussion afterwards both those who care to stick around.  All are welcome!

A young Errol Flynn headlines a poignant, romantic medical drama that sweeps from a great metropolitan hospital to the wilds of Montana, from career obsession to religious transformation. The film is based on a best-seller by Lloyd C. Douglas, whose other page-to-screen books include Magnificent Obsession and The Robe. Like those works, Green Light emphasizes spiritual values and the film’s inspiring tone and redemptive storyline helped make it another hit for a charismatic star on the rise.
