Fair Ridge Cemetery Tour

Acclaimed historian and author, Gray Williams, takes us on a tour of the historic Fair Ridge Cemetery.

When it opened in 1867, many prominent New Castle families chose the non-sectarian community Fair Ridge cemetery for their members’ final resting places. On this tour of the historical sections of the cemetery, you will be introduced to several of them. The monuments that mark their graves will be given vivid historical context through photographs of their homes and businesses, plus portraits of several of them. Come and meet your (former) neighbors, now permanently residing at Fair Ridge Cemetery.
