Experimental Poetry Craft Class with Sarah Vap via Zoom

Sarah Vap is an American writer and the author of seven books of poetry, poetics, and nonfiction. Her most recent book, Winter: Effulgences and Devotions, was published by Noemi Press in September of 2019. Her collection Viability (Penguin, 2016), was selected for the National Poetry Series; her book American Spikenard was awarded the Iowa Poetry Prize; her book Dummy Fire was selected for the Saturnalia Poetry Prize. She has been the recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship, several research fellowships, and was recently the Distinguished Hugo Visiting Writer at the University of Montana. She received her BA from Brown University, her MFA from Arizona State University, and her PhD from the University of Southern California. Her work has been included in numerous anthologies and journals, including Best American Experimental Writing. She teaches in the MFA program in Poetry and Poetry in Translation at Drew University. Vap was raised in Missoula, Montana.
