Exhibition Opening: CVAC: The History of EMS in America

The New Castle Historical Society is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibition: CVAC: The History of EMS in America.

Inspired by a generous donation of old photographs by the Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance, this exhibition traces the history of ambulances, from the American revolution to the development of modern EMS, highlighting New Castle’s own CVAC which has operated for over 80 years as a helping hand to the local community. The exhibition connects a broader national history to the personal story of New Castle, told through paraphernalia and the words of former and current CVAC volunteers.
