Joseph Genova is a native of Italy who moved to New York at the age of nine. Mr. Genova is a mostly self-taught artist, drawing inspiration from Renaissance art and 19th century Italian art. His greatest influence is the dramatic light of the 17th century Italian artist, Michelangelo Caravaggio. Most of the architectural subject matter in his paintings is derived from his frequent travels to Italy and other European countries.
