Exhibit Opening – Abraham Lincoln and Horace Greeley: Uncertain Allies

Illustrated with contemporary prints, photographs, and newspaper excerpts, the Abraham Lincoln and Horace Greeley: Uncertain Allies exhibition traces the complicated relationship between Lincoln and Greeley, whose aims and ideals were very similar, but whose contrasting temperaments and points of view often placed them at odds.

Visit the New Castle Historical Society for the opening of this special exhibition on Friday, September 23, from 6 pm – 9 pm, at the Horace Greeley House in Chappaqua.

Following the opening of the exhibit, we invite you to join us for a lecture by distinguished scholar Harold Holzer, author of Lincoln and the Power of the Press, on Sunday, September 25, at the Chapppaqua Library.
