Ensemble Connect Up Close: Electronic Etudes

Tradition meets innovation as the classical musicians of Ensemble Connect collaborate with electronics designer and percussionist Levy Lorenzo. With Lorenzo’s guidance, the ensemble will embark on a creative journey, constructing their own electronic instruments to unveil a fusion of classical mastery and modern technology. This unique performance transcends boundaries, featuring Lorenzo’s cutting-edge compositions alongside his fresh takes on iconic works by renowned composers. This work-in-process showing will be presented during Ensemble Connect’s residency at The Pocantico Center and is part of a larger show being developed for Carnegie Hall’s Resnick Education Wing on May 6.

A discussion and audience Q&A with Levy Lorenzo and the musicians of Ensemble Connect will follow the performance. Ticketholders are invited to stay for a reception with special access to the DR Center gallery, currently showing Portraits of Process.
