“Elements: Fire & Ice” Photographs by Heidi Fuhrman and Michael Washburn at the Harrison Public Library
Harrison Council for the Arts presents “Elements: Fire & Ice” photographs by Heidi Fuhrman and Michael Washburn at the Harrison Public Library, Halperin Building, 2 Bruce Avenue, Harrison, NY on view January 7 to February 2.
Join us on January 13 at 2pm and meet the artists!
This exhibit presents a roomful of fire and ice: abstract aerial images of Namibian dunes and close-up images of layered ice – striking contrasts of color, patterns, waves and lines, all formed from sand and water by extreme heat and cold. The collection highlights the special strength of photography to reveal overlooked complexity, geometry, and art in nature.
The photographers, both Westchester residents, have been exhibited widely in public spaces, galleries, and private collections in the Greater New York area. Their focus is on creating contemporary portraits of nature.
