Emelin Theatre Presents the Duke Ellington Center For The Arts Big Band under the artistic direction of Mercedes Ellington

The authentic orchestra is dedicated to the legacy of the composer, lyricist, bandleader, performer, artist, and writer Duke Ellington. Pulling from the vast and abundant repertoire of nearly 3,000 tunes, the band performs concerts that are both uniquely American and, in the spirit of Duke, appealingly universal — cutting across barriers to touch audiences of all kinds through the uplifting, unifying language of music. The orchestra will be joined on stage by a company of dancers.
