Downtown Music Presents: The Nocturno Project

The Nocturno Project, with Nicki Denner (piano), Anton Denner (woodwinds), Mayra Casales (percussion), and Jennifer Vincent (bass) charts a new, creative direction for this all-star ensemble of jazz veterans. Inspired by classical repertory and animated by the artists’ command of Latin and Straight-ahead jazz styles, The Nocturno Project creates sparkling exchanges among diverse genres and forms. Join us for these inventive arrangements of music by Fauré, Grieg and Satie, reimagined with Afro-Caribbean and Brazilian rhythms and the improvisational energy of a great jazz ensemble.
