Downtown Music Presents: The First Annual Dorothy Jackson Memorial Concert

Downtown Music presents the First Annual Dorothy Jackson Memorial Concert: Our 36th anniversary season concludes with The Legacy of the Spiritual: Music of the African Diaspora. The 12 professional voices of the Downtown Music Chorale offer works formed by a journey from the African Continent, through the Caribbean, to the United States. Timothy Lewis, Artistic Director of Downtown Music, leads this program which includes a pre-concert talk placing the music in historical context.
