Downtown Music Presents: Maron Khoury, flute & Lora al-Ahmad, piano

At age 20, flutist Maron Khoury became the youngest musician to join the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Much in demand as a soloist, he has made music with many notable conductors including James Levine, Riccardo Muti, Simon Rattle, Christoph Eschenbach and Daniel Barenboim. He is joined at the piano by Lora al-Ahmad, who has made music in renowned venues across New York City, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie, The Bohemian National Hall at the Czech Center, The Tenri Cultural Institute, Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, The DiMenna Center, and The German House at the United Nations Plaza. Together, they offer an exciting program of virtuosic showpieces for flute and piano.
