Downtown Music Presents: A Program of Polish Song
This is a rescheduled concert! Soprano Paulina Swierczek sings a program of Polish song, including music by Lutoslawski, Szymanowski, Bacewicz and Chopin. Paulina is joined by pianist Kurt Eric Galvan.
Soprano Paulina Swierczek returns to Downtown Music at Grace for an afternoon of Polish Song. She is joined by pianist Kurt Eric Galvan. Paulina Swierczek’s concert engagements include appearing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra as a soloist in Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy under Andris Nelsons, Strauss’s Four Songs, op. 27 with The Orchestra Now under Leon Botstein, and as the Queen of the Night with the Little Orchestra Society. A native Polish speaker with much experience with Polish song literature and specifically the songs of Fryderyk Chopin, Paulina is the recipient of a two year fellowship at Tanglewood. She recently appeared as soprano soloist for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s performances of Messiah.The program will include music of Lutoslawski, Szymanowski, Bacewicz and Chopin.
