Documentary + Q&A: Rohna Classified

| |

During WWII, a transport ship with non-functional lifeboats and inadequate lifebelts was sunk by one of the first radio-guided missiles, killing 1,015 U.S. soldiers—making it the greatest loss of life at sea in any U.S. war. Classified documents reveal that neglect and oversight played a role in the tragedy, yet the government declared the incident classified and silenced survivors. Many families never learned the truth. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers and descendants of those aboard the Rohna.
