“Deborah Sadler’s Paper World”
Harrison Council for the Arts presents “Deborah Sadler’s Paper World” April 5 to May 1 at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Avenue, Harrison, NY. Join us on April 17 at 11:00 a.m. for a demonstration of how Deborah creates her works. Deborah’s paper sculptures depict a whimsical world of illustrations and imaginings often involving interactions with feathered or furry friends. She hopes they bring a smile to the viewer! All pieces are made with paper, hot glue and a cocktail stick or two.
Following a professional career as an archivist, Deborah Sadler has returned to her first passion, the Visual Arts. During the course of her archive career, she worked with many galleries and visual artists and is now relishing the opportunity to combine this experience with her art and design skills and is now enthralled with paper sculpture.
Deborah’s work can be found at The Village Art Gallery at the Black Cow, 4 Old Post Road South, Croton- on- Hudson.
Deborah was born in Northern Ireland, educated in England and now lives in New York with her husband and two daughters.
The exhibit may be viewed Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30am to 9:00pm; Tuesdays, Thursdays-Saturdays 9:30am to 5:30pm and Sundays 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. For info call the Library 914-835-0324 or see harrisonpl.org/art.
