Dancing at Dusk: Pacific Rim – An Evening of Chinese Dance & Music with Ling tang & Ba Ban

| |

An annual summer tradition, Dancing at Dusk brings families and those who simply like to experience joyful sounds together on Caramoor’s spacious Friends Field. Learn about, and dance to, tunes from around the globe, enjoy family-friendly food & drink, and take in the rollicking fun of music that moves you!

In this thrilling exploration of Ba Ban (translated as “Eight Beats”, the structural basis for traditional Chinese folk music) classical and modern dancer Ling Tang takes young listeners on an interactive musical journey. As the sounds of dizi (flutes), sheng (organ), pipa (lute), guzheng (zither), huqin (fiddles), and yangqin (dulcimer) fill the air, little ones will experiment with diverse movements from martial arts, acrobatics, Tai-Chi, Chinese Opera, and more.
