DANCE CHINA NY
Performing a vast and dynamic range of Chinese dance and Beijing opera styles, DANCE CHINA NY transports audiences to a world of colorful myths, historical drama, and timeless beauty through their repertoire of traditional and contemporary folk and classical dances. They weave a vibrant vision of China’s ancient indigenous folk cultures across time, legend and reality, and will create a magical evening in Untermyer Park.
Our events are admission free and open to the public. Performances are on the Great Lawn Stage; please bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets, as seating is not provided. In case of rain, call the Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s ArtsLine, 914-375-3435, or check our website (www.untermyer.com) after 2 p.m. the day of the performance for confirmation of the program’s location. This year our rain site will be the Saunders High School, 183 Palmer Road, Yonkers. This program, done in cooperation with Mayor Mike Spano and the Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, is made possible by ArtsWestchester with support from Westchester County Government and the City of Yonkers.
