“Cook by the Book” Food Demonstration: Indian Food
A real-life approach to cooking seasonally and locally will be provided by cookbook author and teacher Rinku Bhattacharya on Saturday, June 11, from 11:30 am – 12:15 pm, at the Farmer’s Market in Ruby Dee Park at Library Green and from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm in the meeting room of the New Rochelle Public Library. In these free interactive presentations and cooking demonstrations, Ms. Bhattacharya will discuss essential Indian spices and their health benefits. She will also reveal how to incorporate the Indian flavors in a practical and accessible manner, with an emphasis on seasonal eating and green living. Her book, Spices & Seasons: Simple, Sustainable Indian Flavors will be available for purchase and signing.
