Concert: An Italian Journey: Music from 1300 to 1900
Angelica Women’s Chamber Choir, directed by Marie Caruso, presents “An Italian Journey: Music from 1300 to 1900” this May in Westchester. The program features music from the Laudario di Cortona; selections from Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater; madrigals by Maddelena Casulana, Luca Marenzio, Claudio Monteverdi, Alessandro Scarlatti, and Orazio Vecchi; as well as Neapolitan and Sicilian folk songs. Joining Angelica are guest artists Evelyn Estava and Gabriela Rengel, violins; Diana Golden, cello; and Don Gerundo, accordion.
