Collage & Painted Papers

Discover the joy of creating your own stash of uniquely painted papers and transforming them into stunning collages in this dynamic two-session workshop! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned artist, this hands-on experience will introduce exciting techniques for painting, layering, and assembling mixed-media compositions.
What to Expect:
- Session 1: Dive into expressive mark-making and color play as you create your own collection of hand-painted papers using acrylic paints and various acrylic mediums. Learn experimental techniques for adding texture, pattern, and depth to your work.
- Session 2: Bring your painted papers to life! Using a mix of handmade, magazine, and found papers, you’ll explore the art of collage composition, layering, and storytelling. With expert guidance, you’ll learn how to arrange elements harmoniously and bring your artistic vision to life.
This workshop includes inspirational image discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and personalized critiques to help you refine your technique. All levels are welcome! Bring your own acrylic paints (see materials list), while basic tools and supplies will be provided by PAC. Come experiment, express yourself, and leave with a one-of-a-kind collage bursting with color and personality!
