Clay Art Center Woodfiring Workshop with Alison Palmer. May 5 & June 16 – 17 (Hands-On)

This is a two day wood firing workshop with a decorating component! On June 16th you will come to Alison’s studio in CT with your (Cone 10 clay) bisque fired pieces; there will be a large variety of glazes for you to use. We will learn everything needed to load a wood kiln, and pre-heat Friday Night. June 17th is firing day. Everyone in the workshop will sign up to take a shift. Housing is not included in the workshop, but camping on the property is optional. On May 5th at Clay Art Center, Alison will come to talk about flashing slips and show a few decorating techniques that she likes to use and you can try it out.
