Classical Candlelight Concert: The Art of the Violin with Joshua Brown

RISING STAR, VIOLINIST JOSHUA BROWN PLAYS BACH, YSAŸE, BARTÓK AND MORE!

Violinist JOSHUA BROWN will be our new guest performer for Saturday’s Classical Candlelight Concert, stepping in to replace Sean Lee. Joshua will play some of the most beloved and iconic works from the violin repertoire, featuring solo sonatas by J.S. Bach, Ysaÿe and Bartók and Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson’s “Louisiana Blues Strut.”

Joshua Brown is a winner of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and won 2nd Prize and the Audience Award at the 2024 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. Of his debut with the Cleveland Orchestra, the critic wrote: “Brown was spellbinding throughout his entire time on stage.” The program will be hosted by WQXR’s Elliott Forrest.
