The Swingaroos are NYC’s underground jazz band. With a suitcase full of original songs and Hit Parade covers from the ’20s to the 2010s, the ‘Roos continue the tradition of the swing-era “territory bands.” Fronted by award-winning vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/lyricist, Kimberly Hawkey, and pianist/arranger, Assaf Gleizner, this sextet of swingin’ hot sound has been heard in the seediest roadhouses and the stateliest of halls in the Empire City and beyond.
