Whether it’s for coffee, tea, or any other number of beverages, the mug is a highly personal object. This class will start with wheel-thrown work and adventure into altering forms, exploring handles, adding textures, and creating images that enhance a typical mug form. With an eye on the balance of form and function, students are guided through creative exercises to help challenge the way we typically create these signature pieces. This class Is taught using cone 6 glazes.
