Bokandeye African Dance and Drum Troupe
The crowd-pleasing Bokandeye Troupe, directed by Anthony Wooden, closes the 2013 series with African dance to djembe drumming.
The cultural traditions of African villages come alive as the troupe’s multigenerational dancers perform in authentic costume. All performances begin at 7:00 pm. First-come/first-served to the capacity of the library’s Ossie Davis Theater. Doors open at 6:45 pm. Please note: seats may not be “held” and doors will close promptly at 7:00 pm if theater is filled to capacity.
