Bill Mays Quintet Duke Ellington Tribute
The New York Times calls jazz pianist extraordinaire Bill Mays “a commanding presence.” Since 1969, Bill has recorded and performed as a soloist, a first-call studio musician, and a master accompanist for legends like Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Sarah Vaughan and Dionne Warwick.
He’s composed for himself and others, and been a group leader on 40 albums. Bill’s a life-long admirer of Duke Ellington and AllAboutJazz.com gave 4-Stars to his 1994 album An Ellington Affair.
