Bill Charlap Trio
One of the world’s leading pianists for over thirty years, Grammy-winner Bill Charlap was Tony Bennett’s main pianist for two decades. Famed for his interpretations of the great American songwriters, Bill’s trio work is world-renowned.
On this gig, he’s joined by bassist Noriko Ueda, who plays in Artemis, the three-time DownBeat poll-winning Group of the Year (led by Bill’s wife Renee Rosnes); and drummer Dennis Mackrel, whose 45-year career has been highlighted by legendary big band tenures with Count Basie, Mel Lewis, Dizzy Gillespie and McCoy Tyner.
