BID Family Market Day: Pet Day! and Bluegrass Music

The Grand Market is open every Saturday through October 28, from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm with entertainment, crafts and lawns games, so all ages can enjoy the festive atmosphere and fun times in the Ruby Dee Park. The Humane Society will be at the market this week. Talk to them about furry friends in need of a home. Those families not sure if they are ready for the full pet experience are invited to visit the craft table to make their own pet rock to take home. From 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, crafter Joanne Goodrich will lead Pets Rock Crafts that will transform stones into adorable critters. Added bonus at 12:00 noon: The ‘Chester ‘Grass Band (formerly Westchester Bluegrass Boys) returns for another kick-up your heels performance — with fiddle, banjo, guitars and a terrific down-home sound.
