BID Family Day: African Dance and Drum Performance
The fabulous culminating performance of the seven-week African Dance and Drum Workshops
led by Anthony Wooden of Bokandeye Dance, starring members of his troupe. The traditional
movements and rhythms of African village life reverberate throughout the theater! This annual
event is always filled-to-capacity – so be sure to arrive early. Made possible by the New
Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District in partnership with the Public Library, the
City School District and the Department of Parks & Recreation. Free. First-come, first-served, to
the capacity of the 138-seat Ossie Davis Theater. Free.
