BID Family Day: African Dance and Drum Performance

| |

It’s the 20th anniversary of Bokandeye’s partnership with the New Rochelle Public Library, and the culminating performance of the 2016 African Dance and Drum Workshops is guaranteed to be extraordinary! Led by Anthony Wooden of Bokandeye Dance, and also starring members of his troupe, the show will celebrate the traditional movements and rhythms of African village life, with fabulous drumming, authentic costumes, and phenomenal dance. This annual event is always filled-to-capacity – so be sure to arrive early. First-come, first served, to the capacity of the 138-seat Ossie Davis Theater. Free.
